Since its inception the Wagga meeting has aimed to provide an accessible venue for students to attend and present their work, while also creating a program which includes a selection of speakers to deliver broad keynote presentations.
Condensed matter and materials scientists meet in a structured but informal atmosphere to discuss their current research, future directions and other matters of importance in the field.
Topics include: nano- and surface science, semiconductors, photonics, materials science, magnetism, ferroelectrics, multiferroics, superconductors, and other correlated electron systems.

Information for Presenters
Invited talks are allocated a total of 30 minutes including time for questions. Contributed talks are allocated 15 minutes including time for questions. Please have your talk on a memory stick or laptop suitable for uploading before your session.
Poster presentations will be in one of two sessions, Wednesday or Thursday. The space available for posters is 90 cm (height) and 180 cm (width). Please bring Velcro hook stickers for mounting posters. If you wish to nominate your poster for a one minute/one slide (oral) presentation in the session just prior to your allotted poster time, then please email us your single slide, in pdf format, by Friday 30 January. Be sure to include your assigned poster number on the slide. These presentations are open to all poster presenters who send in their pdf by the due date. However, slots are limited. If oversubscribed, preference will be given to student and overseas presenters.
Prizes will be awarded for the three student talks judged to be the best over the duration of the conference.

The names of the members of the winning table at the Thursday evening Trivia Quiz will be engraved on theLindsey Davis Cup.
The Jacko Award
It is a long-standing tradition that a participant will be singled out for his or her “special” contribution to the meeting and their name engraved on the Jacko award.
